Aboard Taras, our company offers daily tours that take you on a voyage to discover the caves between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea, departing from the Harbor of Torre Vado. The first stop is the marina of San Gregorio, from which we sail to discover the caves of the Ionian Sea (Grotta del Drago, Grotte della Stalla and del Presepe, Grotta dei Giganti, Grotta delle Tre Porte, Grotta del Bambino, Grotta del Fiume) in the direction of Santa Maria di Leuca, passing by Punta Ristola, the extreme tip of the Salento peninsula, where you can admire the beauty of the marina from the sea. We then continue towards the caves of the Adriatic Sea (Grotta Terradico, Grotta Tenda degli Indiani, Grotta dei Gabbiani, Gratta Verdusella, Grotta del Soffio, Grotta della Vora) passing by Punta Meliso, the place where the two seas meet. During the excursion, the on-board staff will entertain guests with legends and historical notes related to our region, also in English, French, German, and Spanish, thanks to the availability of audio tours. There is also a single stop for swimming/snorkeling in the extraordinary crystal-clear waters, and then the experience ends with a tasty aperitif of typical Salento products and fruit accompanied by Prosecco, water, and tea.
