MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 4 In case of fewer than 4 participants, the tour will not take place. You will depart in a luxury minivan towards the Carrara Quarries and, following the road that winds like a snake to the top of the mountain, you will cross the famous Ponti di Vara, which, together with the evocative tunnels carved into the rock, made up the "former Marmifera Railway". Departure is scheduled from Marina di Massa at the following meeting points: Via Casola parking lot and Partaccia Info-Point. We will head directly to the heart of the marble basins to visit the interior of an indoor quarry that is still in operation; this is a shared guided visit of just under an hour in what is called the "Cathedral of Marble", where the extraction techniques, the machinery, and the history of this precious material will be explained. Here you can admire a reproduction of Michelangelo's "CREATION OF ADAM", created by the international artist Ozmo, which dominates the center of the gallery with its 160 square meters. Afterwards, we will take a walk through the streets of the town of Colonnata, where a food tasting of Lardo di Colonnata and other typical products is scheduled. Colonnata is the oldest town in the Carrara marble basins and is home to a unique local product, Lardo di Colonnata, which was the traditional lunch of the quarry workers. 1 bottle of water is included in the price; other drinks and wine are not included. IMPORTANT: The languages available during the tour inside the quarry are: Italian - English - French - German and Russian Your driver is NOT a tour guide
