Farm-to-Table Authenticity At Podere Spedalone, we take pride in our farm-to-table philosophy. Our ingredients come straight from our organic garden, ensuring every dish bursts with seasonal flavors. Fresh vegetables, fragrant herbs, and sun-ripened fruits are harvested daily, while additional ingredients are carefully sourced from nearby local farms. What You’ll Learn Under the guidance of our passionate Chef, you’ll dive into the world of handmade Tuscan cuisine and prepare dishes using traditional techniques: Fresh Handmade Pasta: Learn to craft two types of pasta, such as the iconic Tagliatelle or Pappardelle and Pici a local traditional pasta, rolled by hand and served with a rich tomato sauce or slow-cooked meat sauce. Artisanal Bread: Master the art of traditional Tuscan bread-making. Cantucci: Discover the secrets of these classic Italian almond cookies, the perfect sweet finale to any Tuscan meal. All the skills and recipes you’ll learn are easily recreated at home, allowing you to bring a taste of Tuscany to your own kitchen. The Dining Experience After the lesson, sit down and savor the fruits of your labor during a delightful communal lunch. Weather permitting, you’ll dine outdoors, soaking in the sweeping views of the Val d’Orcia, or in our historic farmhouse dining room, filled with rustic charm and warm ambiance. For an extra special treat, you can upgrade your meal to include our famous Fiorentina Steak—one of Tuscany’s most prized culinary treasures. This locally raised, expertly butchered, and perfectly grilled steak is available as an optional supplement per person and can be reserved in advance on our booking page.
