Calestano doesn't appear on most tourist maps. That's exactly why we love it. Just 40 minutes from Parma, this medieval village in the rolling hills is where my mother Nadia and I, Virginia, open our home — and our kitchen — to a small group of guests (max 8) for a pasta experience that feels nothing like a class. Oh, and our cats Cesare and Cindy will probably be there to welcome you too. What we'll make together: Two Italian pasta classics, entirely by hand: soft-as-cloud ravioli and silky tagliatelle, using seasonal organic ingredients — many picked straight from our garden that morning. Want to make it extra special? Add the black truffle option — foraged fresh from the woods surrounding Calestano. There's nowhere closer to the source than this. After cooking: You move to our panoramic terrace for a long, generous Italian meal: local antipasti, Parmigiano Reggiano, your freshly made pasta with homemade sauce, our family tiramisù, and plenty of local wine. Expect warm conversation, breathtaking views, and no rush. No car? No problem. I can arrange a private transfer from central Parma — just let me know when you book. All you need to do is show up hungry. This isn't a cooking school. It's a family home, a real meal, and an afternoon you'll actually remember.
