Prepare authentic Ligurian pesto by hand using a traditional mortar and pestle and top-quality local ingredients. The experience includes a tasting of local wines, cheeses, focaccia, EVO oils, and a final liqueur-and-chocolate pairing.
Your class takes place inside a characteristic Cinque Terre cellar, surrounded by ancient stones and wooden beams, creating the perfect atmosphere to discover local traditions and flavors. Our location is just few steps from Vernazza train station!
12:30 p.m. — Full Meal Experience
These sessions offer a complete meal paired with a local wine tasting.
Start with a first wine served with local cheeses, focaccia, and selected EVO oils.
Prepare the basil while enjoying a second wine.
Make your pesto in the mortar and then taste it the authentic way: mixed with fresh gnocchi, served directly from the mortar, paired with a third wine.
Conclude with a liqueur and chocolate tasting for a sweet finish.
3:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.— Light Snack Experience or Aperitivo
This session offers a lighter tasting, perfect as an afternoon snack.
Pesto making is combined with a wine tasting, accompanied by cheese, EVO oils, focaccia, and bread.
You will still learn all the traditional techniques, but in a snack format outside main meals time.
